About Us

Plotrise was born out of a shared frustration faced by writers everywhere: the chaos of managing story ideas, characters, and timelines across countless notebooks, spreadsheets, and apps. 

For Tal Kilim, our founder and a dedicated writer and developmental editor, this pain was all too real. While working on a complex fantasy novel, Tal found herself buried under disorganized notes, conflicting plotlines, and hours spent trying to keep track of characters and world-building details.

Determined to create a better solution, Tal envisioned a single, unified platform where writers could seamlessly organize, plan, and develop their stories—all while staying inspired and focused. This vision became the foundation of Plotrise, a story and a novel planner built to empower authors in their creative journey.

Tal enlisted the help of Liron Fine, a writer, editor, and writing coach, to bring better development methods into Plotrise. Finally, they joined forces with Grace Michaeli, an editor in her own right.

Built by authors and editors for authors, Plotrise is more than just software—it’s a story planning companion created to make the creative journey smoother, more enjoyable, and ultimately more productive. At its heart, Plotrise embodies a shared belief: storytelling should be about creativity, not chaos.
